Starting Salary: £20k

The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely with the Finance Team and financial controller to assist in producing the management accounts ready for review.

 

Scope of Job

 

Key Activities:

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts
  • Creating month end journals
  • Accrue unbilled Income
  • Accrue cost of sales invoices
  • Assist in the analysis of costs, ensuring their accuracy
  • Analyse overheads completing accruals and prepayments where necessary
  • Upload Sales invoices into the accounts system
  • Prepare Balance Reconciliations
  • Analyse Balance Sheet items
  • Input bank payments
  • Create payment schedules
  • Ensure all suppliers invoices are paid on time
  • Allocate bank payments on supplier accounts
  • Reconcile supplier accounts
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Produce daily cash flow reports, and assist in cash forecasting
  • Process Supplier Invoices on to the accounts system
  • Dealing with Supplier Queries
  • Produce Quarterly VAT returns
  • Support preparation of documents for audit

Performance Management:

  • Ensure all the above completed accurately & on time
  • Envisage future problems & come up with solutions, identify future opportunities
  • Identify what the FC will look for in the management accounts review process (along with other tasks) and include this in preparation.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Finance Experience in a similar role
